2. This location has a 2/3 subway line at the corner, walking distance to anything DT, like South Street, Battery City and Battery Park, WTC, etc.Maybe we had a newly refurbished room, compared to others who've posted.

7. One block off Wall Street, across the street from the Wall Street subway station (#2 & #3 lines), brand new Duane Reade store across street, cheap breakfast places on William Street, dry cleaner one block away, wine shops, restaurants and happy hour bars everywhere.

The friendly front-desk staff did tell us that we could safely park on the streets for free after 6pm on Friday until Monday AM, but being strangers to the city and not wanting to risk parking in a no-park zone and having the hassle of moving the car, we passed on this option but I am sure it is safe and doable.
