1. The furniture is worn, the carpet stained and the bathroom, although relatively clean, needs to be gutted.

2. We stayed on the third floor and when you get out of the musty smelling elevator the carpet is very dirty and worn.

Perhaps due to the recession this hotel is sadly in need of repair, with leaks dripping onto the carpet in the lobby, rooms that smelled terribly of mold, worn carpets, dirty grout in the bathrooms, plus the noise caused by birds and coqui frogs attracted to the stream which runs through the courtyard.
