4. We have stayed at these smaller hotels in LA before and don't expect a fancy experience; this hotel looks particularly bad from the exterior.

We started walking down the first morning, but could not find a path, and didn`t fancy the steep walk up the road, so went and took the car instead - there may be a path that we failed to find, but what looked like stairs down from the pool area ended in an abrupt halt where at some point the road had carved across them.

6. I dont require 4-5 stars when I stay at a hotel because I usually just need a comfortable room and bathroom to sleep and wakeup in -- if you need all the extras like a fancy pool with DJ, and a club/lounge, and a spa, in-room massuse, or catchy name for the hotel then this isnt for you.
