3. I'm not crazy about the 'free breakfasts' being served by many motels, but I have to say that the breakfast being served by the Marina Beach Motel was (much) better than an average motel breakfast.

6. Booking a 'motel' we wasn't expecting very much, just a basic place to get our heads down, but got to be honest, the room was much better than previous hotels we had stayed at whilst in the US.
