1. In the morning or evening time, sitting on the lanai, watching the beautiful tropical garden and ocean views, that's the one of the most beautiful moments in my vacation.

This is not a sophisticated fancy hotel or a resort destination with activities, but it was just what we wanted; an inexpensive easy going base for our exploring (we hiked near the ocean to the active lava flow from both Chain of Craters road and Kalapana - very very moving wonderful experiences - and to Hiilawe in Waipio, a tough hike).

7. (Although this is not the hotel's fault, the Coqui frogs made such a racket that I had to close the window, but they do quiet down later in the night so that I could open the window and hear the ocean.

10. The hotel has a really pretty koi pond with cute little bridges that runs the length of the hotel between its two buildings and up to the ocean side pool.
