1. The concierge was excellent and arranged for a car and driver for a couple of trips, one to Burbank to see Jay Leno, and a post-cruise tour of Hollywood, etc., including a transfer to LAX.

2. We didn't eat at the hotel that evening as we asked the concierge to recommend a local pizza place (which I think was called Ricks) and this was excellent - nothing fancy but good wholesome food and a wide choice of beer.

3. The concierge was the highlight of our stay, welcoming us warmly upon arrival and promptly giving me his business card and offering up his area recommendations (which I did use).

5. The price was a little high and I think they should let you know that the 'club' is closed on weekends if you are staying on the concierge level.

6. At that point they were showing me on their phone what the Crowne Plaza website said, and the gentlemen from the concierge was agreeing that they were right, and as I left, I felt secure he was going to take care of the guest.

7. After unpacking and quickly settling in, the concierge arranged a driver for us who would first take us to In-N-Out Burger, wait while we nibbled, take us to the Queen Mary back in Long Beach, then pick us up at the end of the day and drive us back to the Crowne Plaza in San Pedro.

8. We got a room on the 10th floor with access to the concierge lounge which included appetizers, drinks and breakfast for the next morning.
