1. We had booked an ocean view room, but the first room we were given had only a tiny sliver of ocean view if you stood in the corner and looked out.

8. The decor of the building is a bit Mediterranean (doesn't have that compete Hawaii feel too it), but that is a tiny drawback to what otherwise is an incredible hotel.

10. 3) With regard to room quality -- yes the room decor needs an upgrade (the most glaring sign of our room being "dated" is that the couch upholstery appeared faded), but I'll take a clean, comfortable room any day, over a contemporary, tiny room.
