1. It is very frustrating that as a 'valued' hotel guest u walk through an empty paved lot (valet parking lot) to your dirt ground parking spot (that u have paid to park in ) under 12 inches of rain now a mud hole.

2. Not a big deal u say, but if it's been raining and u are in a foot of water, parking on dirt does pose some problems.

3. ) This poor designation of space means that hotel staff doesn't have to walk far BUT that means hotel guests do have to walk, and in some cases VERY far, and even forced to leave paved parking to park in dirt.

4. Red carpet is probably there because Kauai is famous for the red dirt that tracks everywhere all the time (wash you shoes off daily) TV is old-school and needs to be improved (although I never turned it on, its just expected these days.

5. Not to be offensive, but the people from the dirt bike gathering were really trashy (think loud drunk red necks covered in tattoos, not super romantic for our honeymoon), and it gave us a really bad first impression; luckily, they left the next day.

The first day we got there (during labour day weekend), the hotel was packed with people attending some sort of 'dirt bike' competition, and we were given a crappy room that smelled moldy, smoky and overlooked a dirt parking lot; we complained the next day and they gave us a great room overlooking the ocean.

7. We had to park with the employees in the dirt lot at the end of the property quite often.

8. Plus on Friday Night 6/25/10 they held a huge party that had at least 200 young kids, we had to park in a dirt lot and listen to loud thumping music until 11pm.
