3. We had the unfortunate experience of being on the island during the torrential rains that occured, and by our 4th day on the island, we were evacuated from the hotel due to flooding and loss of power.

5. unfortunately the beach was unswimmable directly at the hotel but we were able to swim about a half mile down the beach.

6. unfortunately I would rather choose some Poipu area (Poipu was a real favourite for us in Kauai) hotel looking back as there is a lot more to see and do, you can see the beautiful sunsets there etc.

7. unfortunately it's not walking distance to anything, so try something other than the fish taco and the cheeseburger and you may have better luck.

8. unfortunately, I believe the hotel should send beach cleaning crews out to pick up all the empty plastic bottles, cans, paper, etc trash that makes their beach area unsightly and sad looking.

10. To get around the island you need a car, so it's great that the parking is free :-)unfortunately there's nothing around so that you always need a car, but as the island isn't that big, you're quickly everywhere.
