1. We were gone all day Sunday at museums and did not return until late after dinner, but Norberto came out from behind the desk to greet us and make sure we were happy with everything, making this feel like an intimate boutique rather than a chain.

9. all I got was 'keep that billing on your Visa card, sir?' Yeah, I'm happy to be paying 600+ bucks to be kept awake for two nights in your beautiful 5-star hotel.

10. They upgraded us to the amazing Caroline Astor Suite for the full stay, gave us a decadent chocolate cake with 'happy 2nd Anniversary' written in chocolate on the serving plate and a beautiful bottle of champagne that we enjoyed immensely.
