1. Coincidence?) We had drinks and late night snacks in the cool bar area in the lobby, which seemed to be bustling most of the time and is dog-friendly.

5. The bar is always hopping with a mix of cool, NYC characters and movie stars and if you are a guest you can always get a seat- what's not to love about that.

7. The friendly and welcoming staff, the absolutely perfectly lit bar/lounge/living room with fireplace to boot, fabulous cocktails and waiters, not to mention delicious food, and the nice size, quiet, well-decorated rooms.
