2. What is it with NYers and their car horns? Anyway, I bring all this up just to point out that once you close the windows, the noise pretty much disappears.

4. The weather was pretty warm while we were there, so we had the windows open most of the time, and the street noise was pretty intense (and I say this as someone who lives in a very noisy neighborhood in SF).
