2. The atmosphere is old-world super cool, the service is excellent and the lobby and bar scene is remarkable - plus, as a hotel guest, they will literally ask other people to move over or leave to make room for you.

5. The Crosby Hotel is also another favorite, again, you sacrifice a TOUCH of the hip for better service and more amenities.

7. The attached restaurant Gemma , is a delight- very good value, interesting menu, great service and atmosphere- we ate there for dinner and Sunday brunch , both were excellent .
