1. The rooms are tastefully appointed, the restuarant, Gemma, is excellent, for all meals of the day, the bar is wonderful, the workout area is first-rate--highly functional and stylish at once, and the staff is very friendly and efficient.
"The most amazing place I've ever stayed--elegant, hip, comfortable " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/26/2011 Vote
2. Hopefully one day they will concede to honor corporate rates.
"Feels more like an upscale, 1930's luxury apartmemt " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/8/2012 Vote
3. Rates not cheap by any means but we thought we'd splurge.
"Stay here! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/24/2011 Vote
4. The Bowery is not a cheap stay ( my room was just uner $400 for the night plus the food and drinks), but I cannot praise the staff and their welcoming and professional tone that I wish some other hotels with room rates at that level would consider duplicating.
"Top of the line staff and service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/9/2011 Vote
5. Service is first rate.
"Say hello to Nick, Joshua and... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/21/2011 Vote
6. The rooms are very, very comfortable, well decorated and furnished, and also large for the rates that the hotel charges.
"The Best of the Real New York " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2011 Vote
7. Just a reminder to foreigners like myself that you mustn't forget that tax will be added to the published room rates (its the one thing I'd forgotten after 9 years).
"Friendly, characterful, quality " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/28/2010 Vote

9. We booked only a few weeks ahead so paid the $425 rate, and we looked at the W hotel in Union Square as an alternative, but although rooms were availble there at a lower rate, the reviews on this site indicate that the W hotel has problems with their levels of service / staff attitude, and with consistency of room quality.
"A fantastic no-nonsense hotel with excellent service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/11/2009 Vote
10. There seem to be two room rates - a standard rate for bookings in the next couple of months ($425 for the queen rooms) and a discounted rate for bookings further ahead ($325 for the queen rooms).
