1. The attached restaurant Gemma , is a delight- very good value, interesting menu, great service and atmosphere- we ate there for dinner and Sunday brunch , both were excellent .

5. We had a queen room on the 11th floor and it was a good size and had a great view - perfect for a couple on a short break and really great value for money.

7. A nice touch and value add was the Mac Books you could borrow from the front desk if you didn`t bring your own computer.

Compared to large five star hotels at a similar cost, what you`re paying for at the Bowery is character and something different rather than the many `value add` services you`d get at a luxury chain - ie nice gym, restaurants, points programmes, etc. So, if you determine value and luxury by these latter criteria, the Bowery wouldn`t be for you.

The pros:- Charming and clean room- One block to Soho- One block to Whole Foods/Station- Value for NYCYou may mind:- Smaller rooms, which I did not mind considering the loveliness of the rooms- The crowd outside the hotelThe cons:- Some of female staff is PMSy (I minimized contact/communication with), the ones who are not are great.

10. Of real value, I was able to borrow a lap top computer from the front desk and enjoyed the free wifi.
