1. It only took 10 minutes to drive to the Hollywood sign (a residential address I found online), less than 30 minutes to Venice, Santa Monica & Malibu beaches, less than 20 minutes to Rodeo Dr and tons of great shopping.

2. Not much more I could add, we used this as the hub to travel to Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Pietersburg Museum, and other places, good hotel for that reason and good value for money especially as we spent so much on worthwhile excursions.
