5. Take the underground train to Universal studios, as it is only a few dollars and stops right outside the gate to the park, with a free shuttle inside.

In my time there I also visited Universal Studios LA by riding the Metro one stop to Universal City (do this!it'll cost you $1.50 each way instead of $9 for a shuttle or more for a cab), and Warner Bros Studios, which was a $17 cab ride from the Renaissance Hotel cab rank (2 minutes from Hollywood Celebrity Hotel.

7. We took the shared ride shuttle from LAX airport for $15 per person (there are several service providers, we took the one operated by Prime Time), which was a cheap way to reach the hotel.
