6. On the Monday my meetings only started at 3pm so I got my complimentary newspaper, grabbed a coffee at Starbucks across the street from the hotel and easily walked down to the Lincoln Memorial via White House and sat on the steps reading the paper.

7. Regis beforehand and asked if it might be possible to receive a complimentary upgrade given the duration of my stay and that my wife and I were celebrating a special occasion.
