4. We read a lot of reviews before booking The Surrey for our first trip to New York, some people liked it and some didn't but overall the vast majority were good or better.

10. It may not seem as convenient as other better known hotels further downtown, but the extra minute or so seems like nothing when you walk into the serene sophistication of this neighborhood.
