The only area that needs some work is the breakfast room, which is slow and disorganized - the trays of food on buffet are too small for the number of people generally in the room and were not regularly replenished, so there would be cream cheese and salmon but no bread, or cereal and no bowls/milk.

9. This was our first stay at the Surrey but it has now become our favorite place to stay in NY---it is warm, intimate, elegant, and offers high-end professionalism and generous service.

10. (It's got its idiosyncrasies, like the huge hanging rug/picture of Kate Moss w/out make-up in the hall which functions as art, but for that same reason it's not a generic cookie-cutter hotel--it's got some verve to it).
