A couple of tips about new York:- The queue for the boats at the Statue of Liberty was huge (over 2 hours) but 5 mins walk away the sightseeing boats that don't stop at the island (the statue is closed anyway) had no queue- The new York Pass can be pre bought (online) and gives entrance to all the sights in new York without having to buy (or queue) for tickets.
