1. Take a quality hotel and spice it up with fun - cooler decor and quirky things like a telescope at the elevator landing and all of a sudden you are well rested and pleasantly surprised.

10. Maybe this would be a negative for light sleepers or families with small kids, but I personally like to feel like I've chosen a vibrant and thriving hotel or restaurant, that being reflected by a large crowd of upwardly-mobile guests.
