1. Our suite was virtually sound proof with what seemed like solid wood doors and solid construction so you don't hear people in the rooms next door.

My concern is I am NOT A MORNING PERSON at all and very cranky if I am awaken by unecessary noises so I am hoping that I will not be awaken by construction noises in the morning and someone can put my mind at EASE by reading this review otherwise I will just go to another hotel chain for sleeping purposes.

6. We are so glad we did, we stayed on the 19th floor, and did not hear a minute of any construction noise, being so close to the hub of Manhattan we were amazed at how quiet it was.

7. Perhaps I got lucky, or perhaps the construction crews were on vacation those days (Apr 22 and Apr 25) but if I had not read the tripadvisor forums, I would not have realized that there were renovations going on.

8. Can someone shed some light on their recent experiences at the hotel and this construction? Omnis are usually among my favorite hotels (Omni Black) but I have also reserved a room at the Waldorf (same price) just in case.
