1. I was in town to watch a LA Kings game and also wanted to be near some friends living in Santa Monica so I found this property which ended up being cheaper than some of the Courtyard and Residence Inns in the Santa Monica area.

5. But as another reviewer has reported, much cheaper parking is available if you hunt for it (hint-- the hotel staff will NOT help you find this parking, or even admit it exists.

8. The hotel has a nice location in downtown LA, with a great proximity to the shops at the Westin across the street and the World Trade Center parking lot (much cheaper than the valet service).

9. There isn't a whole lot to do with kids in downtown LA but the weekend rooms are usually substantially cheaper than similar properties around the Hollywood area.
