1. Easily accommodates a large number of people all trying to do the same things at the same time, like check in, grab a Starbucks or snacks from the in-house convenience area, get a quick lunch, access the Metro, use the elevators.

2. The restaurant/bar The Cure is one of the hotel's best features: superb crab soup, wonderful chicken livers and a really good lunch menu where one combines various small dishes into one tray order -- just splendid.

The catering for the conference was impressive - there were hundreds of us and the meals - from the gala reception with more than a dozen overflowing food stations that ranged from pasta to sushi to crab cakes to short ribs and more to the plated and buffet lunches - were both plentiful and delicious.
