6. Breakfast at the atrium had a wide variety of choices, the swimming pool was clean and not crowded at all, and because of the conference activities and the fact that I have been to Washington DC plenty of times, I saw no need to leave the hotel, except for activities related to the conference.

9. Evidently, the pool is free but why they feel compelled to jam you for another fee -- when I haven't paid a gym fee in years at a decent hotel -- is beyond me.
