1. I noticed that some of the main, reoccurring complaints were; construction inside the hotel, construction noise from outside, slow elevators, small rooms, bed bugs, unfriendly staff.

2. There is construction going on across the road but we never had any problems with noise (our room was facing into the internal courtyard) and the lifts are slow as some other people have mentioned.

3. Elevators were a bit slow so mostly used the stairwells which were really dingy and had large holes in the walls.

5. You may have read some squawks about the elevators; they did seem a wee bit slow at times but otherwise, previously mentioned problems seemed to have been cleared up.

8. A few negative points were that there was no fridge in the room, only an ice bucket - and the only ice machine was down on the ground floor (we were on the 5th floor) so it meant a trip in the worryingly slow lifts to get it.
